Homes for sale in Coconut Grove sit in a place settled before Miami incorporated as a city, and the Grove's first post office opened in 1873. Ralph Munroe built The Barnacle, his bayside home, in 1891. It has never left its spot on Main Highway, which makes it the oldest house in Miami-Dade County still standing where it was built.
