About
Aventura Mall, one of the biggest shopping centers in the country, is the point the rest of Aventura is organized around. Low-rise townhouse rows cover part of the city, and closer to the Intracoastal the condo towers take over; many of those buildings came with their own marina slips and shared amenity decks. In the middle of the city is Turnberry Isle, now operating as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, with a spa and two 18-hole courses called the Soffer and the Miller. Along Country Club Drive, the Don Soffer Exercise Trail circles the golf course in a loop of roughly three miles. Parks and paved trails follow the waterways and run between the residential clusters. Aventura Express, the city's free shuttle, covers three routes, and Brightline's Aventura station is on West Dixie Highway, just past the city's western edge.
